A reputable company will not

• send email from an address like gordon987329875@hotmail.com
• have a gibberish domain name like jkwlqds.com
• fill their email with lots of random words and phrases
• try to trick you into opening their email with misleading subject lines
• send you the same email several times per day for many days
• offer to let you do something illegal, like get free cable access or copy DVDs
• sell prescription medication without an actual visit to a doctor
