can-spam_act_0001 - 2004-02-13 Our thoughts on the CAN-SPAM act of 2003

Just tonight we received this little diddy in a spam from
adriftlogodesign.com:
-
This mailing has been performed by Internet Marketing Solutions,
1719 University Avenue, Bronx NY 10453 USA,
in compliance with the "CAN-SPAM Act of 2003",
approved and signed by the president of
The United States of America on Dec. 16, 2003.
For this reason, this email cannot be considered SPAM.
Well, how patriotic! And how useless. It's unsolicited and commercial
so it's obviously still spam. What they mean is that it can't be
considered illegal spam. Here's our official stance on the
matter: It may be legal, but it's legal spam. We don't want
even legal spam in our inboxes.
And that's all I have to say about that.
